The still ongoing bush fires in Victoria have left thousands of people homeless, the death toll keeps going up and wildlife and nature have suffered massively. These are the worst bush fires this country has ever seen!
Sketch City, Melbourne Stencil Festival, No Vacancy and Villain have come together to hold a Street Art Auction on Friday 13 March 7pm at the No Vacancy Gallery (27 - 33 Red Cape Lane, Melbourne/QV Centre) to raise funds for victims great and small -- 25% of all proceeds will go to the 'Help for Wildlife' organisation (www.helpforwildlife.com) and 75% will be donated to the Red Cross (www.redcross.org.au). There will also be a raffle and an online auction to give more people a chance to help and maybe have the highest bid on an artwork or to have a winning raffle ticket. Artist who would like to donate an artwork should click here (stencilrevolution.com forum thread) for more information. There will be DJs and possibly also live bands on the night. Andrew Gaynor will be the auctioneer, many street art fans in Melbourne will know his most entertaining auctions from the Melbourne Stencil Festival in the past 5 years ... check the website for more informatio: www.streetartforashes.org |
